Didn't Pay Her Taxes?

It is fun in politics. It goes from a blood sport to a lovely dance of the sweet people? And then after the dance is over, everyone gets to work.

The Southeast Texas Political Review has learned that newly elected Port Neches, Texas, council member Ms. Heather Burton did not pay her taxes. In fact, she has not paid any taxes on some property she owns since 2022.

Yes, the Review did not pick up on it – but we have it now.

Now, of course, it is not that much in today's standards. Around $1,900.00 in back taxes. But it is the point of the matter. Here is the layout since her tax account has gone online.

That now has our attention. She pays, but then doesn't, and then pays again and forgets it?

Here is our thing. Pay your taxes if you are representing your city. And we mean it. This lady is new to politics, and there are groups like ours that now have you in our sights.
