Mr. Klein, I was turned onto your site by a friend who is a legislator in Austin, from Dallas. I am a democrat but listen to all sides. I have to say that every single morning when I get up I read your site. Why? I just want to see what you are going to say next! A great read sir!

From Beaumont: Water Canal

November 01, 2025

Have not heard of any media talking about Mid & south county's LNVA drinking water canal. Up until now the only spot I questioned was where it goes underground @ Earle st in PN & resurfaces across 366 @ rubber plant rd. Now the new ammonia facility being built across from the prisons has the same canal running through it! Not sure if the public knows but if ammonia gets released, not if but when, it stays on the ground & mixes with ANY AVAILABLE WATER. Smell your Windex because thats what our tap water might be like in a worst-case scenario. Just another wonderful fact of living here! Thanks for your continued dedication to presenting the facts!

From Beaumont: Another Letter

October 31, 2025

Here is ANOTHER LETTER from the same lady who typed it out before. And then our comments (click to make it bigger):

From Beaumont: Debate

October 30, 2025

OMG that debate between Getz and Hillard was painful to watch…..I could only make it through three questions……Hilliard's way is over his head!!!

From Beaumont: Grammar

October 29, 2025

I loved your Thursday posting, professor (haha). When I was in high school one of my English teachers, Mrs. Wall, would put more red marks on my papers than I put back marks. She once wrote, "make the dictionary your bible", on one of my book reports (truly). Fortunately, I must have benefited from her discipline because every time I read a newspaper, or a local TV website, I'm sorely tempted to do to that newspaper what Mrs. Wall did to my papers and mail them to the Editor. Thanks for the post; and God bless all the Mrs. Walls out there — if there are any left.

From Houston: Slow Burn

October 28, 2025

OMG! I just found your website and love it! It is like watching a slow burn at a fuel tank depot. You only have to wonder and wait for the big boom! Thanks guys!

From Beaumont: BISD

October 27, 2025

I was curious, as I believe many others are also, about what the convicted BISD people are doing now that they are out of prison. Are they hurting other school districts and kids somewhere else?
